These are turning out great. But the big number bothers me. There are good reasons not to scale-stretch type like that, which have to do with stroke weight, proportion, and most of all the danger of bringing the aesthetic of a Val-Pak coupon to an otherwise artful design.

The type isn't quite there yet, no. I don't want to draw it all by hand, but finding Just the Right Font is a royal pain.

It's not so much the choice of font as how you use it. I think you've done pretty well with Optima with that one exception.

It needs to be a tall and thin font, judging by my doodles. I'll have to futz with it at some point.

There's a "font of wisdom" joke in here that I'm too lazy to follow up on but too weak-willed to leave entirely alone.
