The Golden Dawn calls this the Lord of Earned Success; TAC* labels it Science. I felt that this was one of Crowley's changes worth keeping.
This is the first serious number card to make it through Illustrator. The 99 of Pentacles was mostly a quick joke, and an opportunity to test my minor template and intended color scheme with something easy to do. The response to my deadpan writeup of it is making me think that maybe I should include it, and the other 99s, in the deck. Especially
All the minors will be reduced-color like this - a key color suitable to the suit, black, and white. I'll let myself throw in tiny bits of other colors (like the blue electric glow) but I really like the idea of the Major Arcana being very obviously something different from the number cards! I'm not sure what I'll do with the court cards, yet - they're something in between the numbers and the Majors, and perhaps their coloring should reflect this.

I was serious about the 99 of Cups being over nine thousand by the way. That modern view of limitless energy held in queue, represented by a glowing aura of light and floating pebbles. The very essence of potential energy.
Just as my thoughts, inspired by your art. ^.^

My cousin and I used to go into our grandfather's garage and find scraps of pipe and pound and sharpen them into swords which we would then use to cut cardboard boxes, small plants and whatever else was in the way. That was fun times.
