Metal Dessert

Last week, my boyfriend got a new laptop (thanks to

read_alicia): a refurb Dell, red with silver trim. He named it 'Kirschbär' and asked if I'd draw a butch red jelly android raccoon girl to be its initial background image.

A single-image break from the rapid pace of Tarot cards was kinda welcome, so I sketched it out today, then met up with him at Diesel and did most of the AI on this. Finished it off tonight. It was kind of nice to prove that, yes, I do still like drawing these animal-head people despite my current project.

Also we bought an imperial fuckton of granola today, hooray!

Jelly androids with chrome trim are NEAT. They make my brain try to come up with technobabble explanations for how they work.

...now I wanna try that with a black widow.

Agreed that gelatinous robits is a great thing they be. I'm not sure why but machines with transparent bits are always fun. Anybody remember the clear version of the old brick GameBoy? The fruity iMacs and iBooks? Those were awesome for the same reason!

Were they squishy to the touch then they would have been that much better. :D

Oh yeah, and I'm pretty sure my mother just last week bought some silvery shiny boots and this made me think of them. I so very wish I could try them on. :D

I had one of the old clear brick Gameboys. Actually, I still do. Screen is crap, but that nice beefy sound, and the heft of the thing... *swoon*

The heft indeed. I have a DS Lite and my hands cramp whenever I have to use the shoulder buttons. I find myself often pining for a good old DS Phat, if you will. Definitely the Gameboy Brick of modern handhelds. <3

I have to agree, the way you incorporated the chrome is really beautiful. The tail stripes, the gloves, the mask. I love how the ears look like little radar dishes inside too!

Actually, steampunked@pangaean.net now - gothbunny basically died due to spam loads killing it. I had the same address for 10 years, and was getting about 300 spam a day THROUGH my filters.
