And here's the card I worked on today. I'd also done a lot of it a few days ago, after finishing the King of Wands.
This is, in some ways, the other side of FateFortune (which, I should note, is #10). It's a reminder that you're the one tying yourself up in a story; you're the one defining your past and dictating your future. Change the story and you change your fate. Stories have power.
There's also some space-warping imagery going on. How much of the universe exists because we, as conscious beings, observe it? Are we just knots of space-time, twisted up into an interesting shape by self-observation?
It is, of course, also me reusing some imagery I've played with before: 2005, 2007, and earlier this year (unfinished; this is a quick hack I was using as my desktop for a while).

At first I preferred the name of "The Querent", but now I see the intention of "History" through another serendipitous pairing: X balances O. While 0, Void, is the limitless possibility of the future from the emptiness of now, X, History, is the limits we create by filling now with the past. Void is having no script to follow. Together, they ask a sort of koan: Which holds more, Nothing or Everything?
